Landis+Gyr and MTE metering solutions now supplied by Energy Measurements

Siemens has consolidated its Southern African metering activities into Energy Measurements following the recent 100% incorporation of the company into the Siemens Group.

Energy Measurements remains a separate legal entity within Siemens and will continue to operate from Isando, Gauteng. The business, which has been built on the successful Cashpower prepayment metering system, originally developed over 10 years ago, will continue to be the global centre of competence in Siemens for keypad-based prepayment electricity metering systems.

However, in addition to the ongoing development, manufacturing and marketing of Cashpower, Energy Measurements has taken over full responsibility for the Landis+Gyr® range of credit meters and systems as well as the MTE meter test equipment. The company will be responsible for sales and marketing of these two product portfolios in the SADC and other selected African countries.
